Adding an additional Time Zone In Vista

If you have friends or family that live overseas, Windows Vista lets you set
another time zone on your computer time, as follows:
- Right click on the time located in the bottom corner of the System Tray.
- Click the Adjust Date/Time option.
- Select the Additional Clocks tab from the Date and Time window.
- Use the drop down arrow beneath one of the Select time zone fields and
choose the time zone you want to add.
- Click the box beside Show this clock.
- Click OK.
Now your computer will display the time for the additional time zone you
chose when you hold your mouse over the time.

Setting a Logon Script for a
Windows XP Machine

You can configure logon scripts to run on a local computer that is not a
member of a Microsoft domain. By doing so, the script that you specify will run
when a user logs on to the local computer. You can enable logon scripts using
the group policy editor as follows:
- Click Start and click Run.
- Type gpedit.msc and Click OK.
- Expand the following: User Configuration\Windows Settings\Scripts
(Logon/Logoff).
- In the details pane, double click Logon.
- Click Add.
- Click Browse to locate the script you want to use and click Open.
- Click OK.
- Type in any script parameters you want to use and Click OK.
- Click OK.
Now when a user logs onto the local computer, the logon script will
automatically run.
